As part of a 489 dwelling unit development in Milpitas, Cornerstone is assisting Lennar Multifamily Communities in the development of a conceptual study for a signature pedestrian overcrossing over Montague Expressway.  The pedestrian overcrossing, which is required as a condition of approval for the multifamily development, will provide safe access for users of the East Penitencia Creek Park Trail across the six lane expressway.  Stacked access ramp structures and elevator/stair access structures were considered, and several bridge type alternatives were identified and presented to the City of Milpitas for their consideration.  Once an overcrossing type is selected by the City, Cornerstone will proceed with the design and preparation of the construction drawings.
