Cornerstone provided design services for the 11,000 sf 2-story fire station with three attached apparatus bays below the living area. This project is constructed of structural masonry, structural steel and cold formed metal framing. The project also included structural foundation design for a 4-story pre-fabricated steel training tower building and a single story wood and steel framed training classroom structure that serves as the architectural focal point to the entrance of the site. Due to proximity to the bay, the site is underlain by compressible bay mud so some of the heavier buildings are founded on helical anchor piles.
